For the 10th year in a row, we will be recognizing a new class of outstanding women who have had a positive impact on our state through their business, organization, volunteerism, civic service, or their leadership by example. This year's class will be featured in our Fall edition and will be celebrated at the 2023 Wonder Women Talks on November 1 at the Holiday Inn and Suites Charleston West.

Robin Hildebrand Hannigan

Founder, consultant, and brand ambassador of Blue Smoke Salsa

Robin Hildebrand Hannigan started Blue Smoke Salsa in 1993 in her Fayette County home with a focus on fresh and healthy ingredients. It soon became a state favorite and won many awards over the years. After making the difficult decision to step away from the company in 2015 when new owners began altering her recipes, Hildebrand put Blue Smoke Salsa behind her. 

However, in 2022 Hildebrand was asked to return and help bring the company—now in the hands of New River Brands—back to the beginning. Now, with her recipes restored and new ones being developed, Hildebrand continues her tireless work of representing the best of West Virginia, showing what it means to stand behind what you believe in, and encouraging others to never give up on their dreams.
