Forest Jackson “Jack” Bowman is the Jackson & Kelly Professor of Law Emeritus at the WVU College of Law where he taught for 23 years, retiring from teaching in 2002. During his tenure here, he was named Professor of the Year by an unprecedented seven graduating classes at the college and was named university-wide Professor of the Year in 1998. In 1988, he was named Professor of the Year for all of higher education in the state by the Faculty Merit Foundation of West Virginia. Afraid of having nothing to do, since his “ final” retirement in 2018, Jack has written and published three novels, two of which have received medals from Global Book Awards in the psychological thriller and historical thriller categories. In 2023 his novel All Our Yesterdays received the "Best of Indie" Award from Kindle Book Awards in the Mystery/Thriller category.
